Check out the teaser for Bottom Line, the new movie from Pirate Movie Production starring Danny Larsen.

Blast from the past! A movie by Frode Sandbech and Christen Roede starring a bunch of Scandinavians. Whiteout was even a sponsor with something doesn’t really look anything like our logo now, but this is from 2002, before we launched for reals.
Check it out, Danny even got a small part in there.

Up here in the Northern Darkness that is rather bright at the moment, spring is coming soon. So we’re searching for some good snow for snowboard trickery with the Pirate gang, and on the way we see cool stuff.

A little look back. Not too far though, just a couple of months ago. Me and my wife went out cross country skiing, Whiteout clothes gets a thorough check in all conditions.
Yup, slightly cold when the mustache, hair and eyelashes turn white from the frost. We’re looking seriously sporty in this one
Norwegian back country, perfect for powder-ski ballet.
Cross country is pretty damn cool
So is waffles with jam and coffee

I know there haven`t been to many blog posts from skier-E this season, but from now on I promise to keep everyone warm with fresh posts and pictures. To start things of, here`s some random pictures I downloaded from my iPhone, from this years winter of shooting with Field Productions.
Poor cameramen. This shot is from Christmas, I had 160 tries on this rail (can`t see it, it`s behind me), and the 3 filmers Daniel, JP and Filip were standing straight up in the freezing cold, pressing REC. I was sweating.
Røldal, and of January. What a nice place! Take a closer look and you can see the cat that got us deep into the Røldal backcountry.
Jesper Tjãder posing in front of one of many rails we hit together this season. The new measurement of rails and drops is “Jesper`s”. This rail was 4 Jesper high and 10 Jesper long.
This was scary. The two tracks you can see is mine and Espen`s (filmer). This was super flat and we didn`t expect it to slide, but as you can see; you never know. Gotta be careful! Luckily it it stopped really quick.
Matt (Process films): Finally we found your rail to drop! Frankum and Espen digging out a tranny to land in.
Ole Mustad is really excited about some real skiing in Sogndal. In the background you can spot some of the lines Åsmund Thorsen and Ass-bear Eggebø got on “tape” later that day!
And here`s the reason Ole was so stoked. “Best snow I ever skiiiied, maan”
Our plan is to return to Sogndal next week, if the weather forecast tells the truth.

The internet are all covered with news from Japan, needless to say why. But the Whiteout blog is also drowned with stories from Japan. Here`s some pictures from our trip with Field Prod.
Russia is one big country… It takes you more than 9 hours to fly over it.
Met some local skiers at the Toyota Big Air. Pretty cool event, maybe there will be skiers competing next year? Hope so!
More from the big air. Our skier friends put up a short show in between the boarders, in front of 25 000 screaming people!
Mt. Asahidake. A ski resort, but also a vulcano! I`m checking out one of the “hot spots” where smoke and ash were coming out. Smelled like shit…
Eirik Finseth`s ass did also smell like shit and had a white steam coming out of it.
Pillow monster! they habit the northern islands of Japan and are the most dangerous during winter months. I`m one of very few people who have managed to photograph one, without being eaten.
Yes, it did dump. Almost every day. Frankum, Finseth and myself, pretty stoked!
Christopher Frankum looking up at some avalanche barriers. And yes, they were fun to ski, and the snow was deep…
On top at one of many pillow runs I got during a week in Japan!
My thoughts go out to everyone in Japan. Watching the news these days its hard to believe that the snow paradise I just visited is now turned into what looks like a war zone. Hope you don`t get any more earthquakes and that your nuclear reactors dosen`t melt down.

I’m back home from Japan. I was lucky enough to fly out from Tokyo around 2 hours before the earthquake started. My thoughts go out to everyone in Japan and everybody affected by the massve destructions.

Howdy, still in Japan. Today I even remembered to put my memory card in to my camera, which means I got pics to show you from a day on the mountain.
First spot I did on this mountain is nicely marked with a skull and cross-bone on this area map.
Gondola ride up, we get to shred this on the way down.. kinda awesome.
Met two Norwegians on the chairlift, that was pretty cool actually.
Media crew ready to document some mad radical airtime brah, some totaly awesome stunts dude.

Björn getting gnarly in the air bro, like totaly! He just totally ripped up that pow like ka-pow!
This guy is pretty cool, way more friendly-looking than that skull and cross bone guy.
This is how we find our way down from the mountain, small arrow looking wooden plates, safe
Stubbz san was covered in snow so the friendly door man brushed him like a little puppy, or windshield of a car
This is what our hallway look like, the neat Japanese love our style
